ICUF is a two days conference (10th and 11th), with a strategic session celebrated the previous afternoon (9th), designed for analysing current trends and best practices in Corporate Universities.

Participants will share and learn about: Business Alignment, Innovative Technologies, Branding and Communication, Social Learning, Shared Services, Learning Measurement and other matters interesting for Corporate Universities executives and Chief Learning Officers.

ICUF is promoted by Barcelona City Council and has the support of the Catalan Government (Generalitat de Catalunya) and the Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation (Cámara Oficial de Comercio, Industria y Navegación de Barcelona).

The ICUF program has been designed with the collaboration of a group of the most innovative and prestigious Business Schools of Barcelona such as EADA, EAE, ESADE, IDEC, IESE and La Salle and is also involving multinational companies. The program committee is led by Juan Rovira, Chairman and Senior Fellow of the Oxford Leadership Academy Spain, International Faculty Board member. Mr. Rovira has been the founder and director of Telefonica’s corporate university from August 2006 until September 2010.

Barcelona, Octubre 1st, 2010. More than 150 senior executives of multinationals, universities and business schools participated on 27 and 28 September in the “I International Corporate Universities Forum” that was organized by the Barcelona City Council and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of Barcelona with the support of the Generalitat of Catalonia.

The forum had Gas Natural Fenosa, La Caixa and Telefonica as official sponsors and the collaboration of the leading business schools and educational institutions in the city, being IESE, ESADE and EADA the main knowledge partners of this meeting.

The first edition of “International Corporate Universities Forum (ICUF)” focused on discussions about the strategic role of Corporate Universities as a driver of change in organizations, and included the participation of top and internationally renowned experts. The ICUF became the meeting place for executives and business leaders around the world with the greatest responsibility for corporate strategy and executive education in their organizations.

The ICUF has become an example of a successful public-private initiative, organized and financed by both governments and companies, and this has resulted in the creation of the first forum of its kind to be organized in our city. The ICUF has meant a first step to value and to position Barcelona as a city with environmental conditions and highly qualitative offer to host the corporate training of companies around the world. The holding of a forum of its kind in our city is a tool to attract international talent management.
